If you love to work with your hands and are mechanically inclined, why not enter an exciting field like aviation maintenance? Aviation mechanics are also known as airframe mechanics and power plant mechanics, also described as aviation servicing, and aircraft maintenance. An FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) approved school will teach you to inspect and maintain aircrafts engines, instruments, and brakes. You will learn to gather diagnostic information, use precision instruments, repair sheet metal or compost surfaces, check for corrosion and distortions.

Typical classes last for eighteen to twenty-four months and include courses like shop practices, FAA regulations, ground operations, aircraft welding and composition, propeller, landing, and gear systems repair and maintenance. As well as, the understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and fuel systems. You will learn to determine airworthiness, inspection of aircraft turbine engines, assembly, reassembly, and replacement of engines.

The FAA standards established by law that certified aviation mechanic schools offer 1900 class hours. The education that you gain from an aviation maintenance associate's degree will help you to attain jobs working on airplanes and helicopters.
